Weyerhaeuser — 125 Years of Structural Wood Excellence

From a single sawmill in Washington State to one of North America's most recognized names in structural lumber and engineered wood products, our history is built one board at a time.

Our Story

Weyerhaeuser traces its roots to 1900, when Frederick Weyerhaeuser and partners acquired 900,000 acres of Pacific Northwest timberland with a vision of sustainable, long-term forest management. Over the following decades, the company developed vertically integrated operations that now span timberland management, sawmilling, and precision-engineered wood manufacturing.

Today, Weyerhaeuser Products serves residential builders, commercial contractors, and industrial clients across North America with a range of structural wood solutions engineered to meet modern building codes and sustainability standards.

FSC Chain of Custody

Forest Stewardship Council certification verifies that our wood originates from responsibly managed forests, tracked from harvest through the supply chain to your job site.

ICC Evaluation Service

ICC-ES Evaluation Service Reports (ESRs) for TJI joists, glulam beams, and structural panels provide building departments with tested span tables and installation specifications.

APA Certification

Our structural panel products are manufactured under the APA Performance Rated Panel program, ensuring consistent quality and code acceptance across all 50 states.

Sustainability is Structural

We believe that responsibly managed forests are the foundation of a sustainable built environment. Harvested wood is unique among structural materials: it sequesters carbon during forest growth, stores it through the building's life, and returns it in a controlled way at end of life.

Weyerhaeuser's forestry practices are designed to maintain or improve forest health across harvest cycles — restoring biodiversity, protecting watersheds, and maintaining habitat corridors alongside productive timberland.
